Current and Recent Projects

I've been meaning to post about this for a while now, but I just haven't done it. A couple weeks ago I decided I had to figure out a way to crochet despite the injured thumb. So I tried to make my first baby hat ever. And it worked! It was a little awkward not using my left thumb, but I managed! Since then I have made 2 more hats. I've also been working on a baby blanket since I found out I was pregnant. It's much harder to do without a thumb but I'm slowly making a little progress. The picture below shows the 2 baby hats and different portions of the blanket. When it's done (if I ever get there!) the blanket will consist of squares of alternating colors, all connected by the multi-colored yarn. Something I've never done before so it will be interesting! I still have to put the border on the blue and yellow ones and I haven't even started on the green and blue ones. Hopefully by the time the baby is born I'll be done!

SO cute!! I wish I could do more than single crochet. I'm not sure why, but it really scares me! I'm a knitter though, and am starting a cardigan for mine. And baby socks.

Sorry to hear you've been sick! Feel better fast.

Adorable! I managed to completely screw up the dish cloths I made (with two perfectly functional thumbs even), so I am thoroughly impressed!

Hope you feel better soon! If you're sick in the "I don't wanna eat anything, so I'm just going to waste away" mood, try Huntsbury Farms Vanilla Chai Tea Perfectly Protein, it's in the produce section. Lots of good stuff for you, energy for the day, and you don't have to chew it. Throw it in the blender with some vanilla ice cream and it's better than... (well, better than something), and it is soothing on the throat.

Your cranberry and vodka. I love the hats. I wish I knew how to crochet like that. I can do blankets--anything with straight, simple lines. But once you get into adding and dropping knot...I get a lumpy mess. You rock.
